Ross HillRoss Hill, established by the Robson Family in 1994, has become a producer of award winning cool climate wines from grape varieties including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard, situated at 800m, has been developed on principles of environmental sustainability with wines being hand pruned and grapes hand picked. The wines are made by renowned boutique winemakers David Lowe and Jane Wilson. Woodhouse WinesJohn Woodhouse is more commonly linked with Apple City Tours. But for the past seven years, bus driving has been complemented with the adventures of becoming a vigneron. Woodhouse Wines are grown at an altitude of 860 metres on the picturesque northern slopes of Mt Canobolas. It specialises in cool climate dryland Cabernet Sauvignon blended with local Merlot, which are hand picked and pruned.
