Brangayne of Orange

Established in 1994, Brangayne has a unique environment protected by fine deciduous and pine trees, and sits comfortably on the north east slopes of Mount Canobolas. Brangayne produces fine cool climate wine from 26 hectares of vineyard that ranges from 870 metres to 1,000 metres in altitude. Brangayne is known for its Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir as well as its signature wines, The Tristan (Cabernet Shiraz Merlot) and The Isolde (Reserve Chardonnay).

Burke & Hills

Located by the waters of picturesque Lake Canobolas, Burke & Hills offers a unique Cellar Door experience in Orange. Sample our range of fine wines accompanied by delicious food at the Lakeside Cafe or pick-up a yummy hamper and graze under the trees.

Canobolas-Smith Wines

Our mature (planted 1986) unirrigated vineyard gives exceptional fruit. Hand picking, small batch fermentation and maturation in fine grain French oak produces exceptional wine. Taste the wines at our friendly cellar door with Justin Byrne (resident winehead), sparkling Lorraine ("I'm the mother") and winemaker Murray Smith. Try Chardonnay "one of Australasia's most consistent high-quality Chardonnays" (Winewise Magazine) and the flagship red blend "Alchemy". Also Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Sparkling, Dessert and Port styles & other occasional small batches that take our fancy.

Cargo Road Winery

Just 10 min from town are the rows of splendid vines grown in the deep red basalt of Cargo Road winery. With the delights of the gourmet cafè, gallery with collection of Tanya Loviz art and the gorgeous views, wine tasters can appreciate the beauty of the Orange region. Red wine varieties include Zinfandel, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon. White wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling & Gewurtztraminer. New styles include Dessert Zinfandel and Primitivo Rosè. All wines are produced from the premium grapes grown on the property. Established 1983.

Dindima Wines

The Bell family invites you to its vineyard, winery and cellar door, nestled below Mt Canobolas and surrounded by picturesque orchards. Small parcels of hand-picked grapes are transformed into award winning cool-climate wines by our winemaker - son, James. Dindima's whites include Semillon and Chardonnay. Our reds include Shiraz, Cabernet Merlot blends, Cabernet Sauvignon and a unique fortified Muscat. The cellar door holds many pleasures: tasting from Riedel stemware; a photographic exhibition of wine images, olive oils and more.

Jarretts of Orange

Distinctive cool climate flavours in down to earth wines grown with passionate care for soil health and bio-diversity of the land by using as few chemicals and as little water as possible. Wine that really tastes great and treads lightly on the land. Jarretts offer Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Marsanne, Cabernet Merlot and Shiraz by mail order and through restaurants and retailers in Orange and Bathurst. Join our Connoisseurs Club for advance notice of releases. Jarretts super premium Finger & Thumb wines are made only in exceptional years when the fruit quality demands extra wine making attention and more time in the barrel. They're a bit harder to find, but well worth the extra effort.

Orange Highland Wines and Gardens - opening 27 September 2008.
Ross and Helen Harrison look forward to welcoming you to Loch Ellen Estate. Situated at the end of Nashdale Lane (turn in front of the Nashdale School) just 1.3kms off Cargo Road, Orange Highland Wines and Gardens is preparing to open in September 2008. The cellar door is set amidst a gorgeous cottage garden. A Central Tablelands garden of plants, shrubs and trees native to the region is also newly completed as is a music garden featuring lots of bright colours. Three of the top winemakers in Orange have made Loch Ellen Estate's first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.

Located at the picturesque Campbell's Corner on the scenic mountain drive up Pinnacle Road to Mt Canobolas, this is one of the highest and coolest vineyards in the district, and often has the latest harvest in the season. The Word of Mouth philosophy is a no compromise approach to quality and sustainability, this is a vineyard worked by people not machines. Our individually styled, award winning wines are a result of careful hand selected fruit from low yielding vines, gently made using minimum intervention. This versatile vineyard produces, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Viognier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
