Panther’s Patch is an award winning 5 acre boutique vineyard located at 750m altitude in Borenore. It is named after “Panther” - the Black Barb Kelpie puppy dropped on our doorstep shortly after we acquired the vineyard in 2009.
The position is elevated; north facing and sunny with views of Mt. Canobolas to the south. The vineyard soil is volcanic – overlaying fossil bearing limestone – adjoining the Borenore limestone caves.
The Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines are pruned by hand, fruit is hand picked and the wine made by Chris Derrez and Lucy Maddox at Madrez Wine Services.
Wine is available at the vineyard by appointment and sold at the Agrestic Grocer, IGA Peisley Street and Kelly’s Rugby Hotel bottle shop as well as by mail order.
